In March, 2025 during spring break, the Peerlift cofounders went on a ski trip on the mountain Sunpeaks, and together, the group explored safety, adventure, and connection. This 5 day trip gave the children a refreshing break and encouraged them to be more adventurous.
In April of 2025, the leaders of Peerflift organized their first Krispy Kreme donut fundraiser. 14 youth volunteers sold Krispy Kreme donuts at Ironwood Plaza and Richmond Center, raising a total of $189 CAD in 4 hours.
On May 11, 2025, Peerlift celebrated Mother’s Day with a warm, hands-on activity where families learned about different flowers and created their own flower pots together. Parents and children shared laughter and quiet moments as they worked side by side, strengthening their connection. The afternoon was simple, joyful, and gave families time to slow down and enjoy
being together.
During the month of June 2025, Peerlift explored the BCIT Aerospace Campus. The group learned about aircraft operations, safety maintenance, and the process of becoming an aircraft engineer.
In June, Peerlift donated a large amount of fresh vegetables to a local senior home, all grown in the Peerlift garden. The harvest reflected months of care and teamwork, turning simple planting into something meaningful for the community. Sharing the vegetables brought joy to the seniors and reminded everyone involved how small efforts can make a real difference.
On July 1st of 2025, our peers gathered together at the Canada parade to sell items in order to raise money for BC Children’s hospital. Our group organized tables to interact with parade members. By selling these items, they successfully raised funds while also building teamwork and communication skills.
During the 2025 summer, fellow members of Peerlift visited the island of Sunshine Coast. They participated in many nature related events such as hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Throughout the 3 days, members learned valuable skills and had a wonderful time together.
In October of 2025, Peerlift organized their second Krispy Kreme donut fundraiser. Volunteers reflected on their first fundraiser, and by implementing improved marketing strategies, they worked together and raised $370 CAD.
On September 30, 2025, Peerlift proudly reached its $1,000 fundraising goal after nearly a year of steady effort. Through many events, kids showed up consistently, planning, organizing, and giving their time with care. The milestone reflected patience, teamwork, and strong support from families and volunteers. Seeing that shared effort turn into real support for BC Children’s Hospital made the journey especially meaningful. Peerlift was proud to know that what everyone worked toward could help bring comfort to children and their families. The experience reminded the organization how much impact small, consistent acts of care can have when people work together. Peerlift is deeply grateful to see nearly a year of hard work turn into real, meaningful help for others.
